Superintendent

The Jobsite Superintendent oversees all field operations for assigned commercial and industrial construction projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Tri‑State Construction’s quality standards. The Superintendent leads subcontractors, coordinates daily activities, manages site logistics, and serves as the primary on‑site representative for the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all day‑to‑day jobsite operations

  • Enforce safety standards, conduct daily safety meetings, and ensure OSHA compliance

  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and equipment usage

  • Maintain project schedule and adjust sequencing to keep work on track

  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure correct installation

  • Conduct quality control checks and document progress

  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding schedule, manpower, issues, and changes

  • Maintain jobsite documentation: daily reports, photos, logs, and safety records

  • Resolve field conflicts and proactively address issues before they impact schedule

  • Represent Tri‑State Construction professionally with owners, inspectors, and subcontractors

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial/industrial construction experience; supervisory experience required

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and trade coordination

  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills

  • Proficiency with construction technology (plans apps, daily logs, scheduling tools)

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality

  • Valid driver’s license
